On Thursday 30 November at 7pm join renowned LA Yiddish folk singer CINDY PALEY for an evening of fresh and classic Yiddish folk songs.

For over 30 years, CINDY PALEY has delighted Jewish communities across the country with her rich repertoire of Jewish music, as featured in her timeless audio recordings and dynamic live performances. Cindy's love of Yiddish music and culture began as a child at the Valley Kindershule in the San Fernando Valley. Cindy is the cantorial soloist for Lev Eisha and the Valley Beth Shalom Neshama Minyan, two creative Shabbat women's services in Los Angeles. This past summer Cindy toured Poland, performing six concerts of Yiddish Love Songs with Menachem Mirski and his klezmer band, and presenting Yiddish music workshops at the Krakow Jewish Culture Festival. Cindy's performances blend story and song, and are brimming with a contagious energy that is guaranteed to get everyone singing.

MENACHEM MIRSKI is a Polish musician, songwriter, and philosopher. He is a leader in the Polish nu-klezmer scene and his group, the Klezmaholics, performs Yiddish and Hebrew folk songs, as well as their own songs based on biblical stories and midrashic literature. Since, 2011 Mirski has worked as a lay cantor for synagogues in Gdansk - the Progressive Jewish Communities of Poland. In October 2016, Mirski obtained a doctorate of Philosophy and Sociology from the State University in Lublin, with his dissertation focusing on Jewish theological responses to Holocaust.

ISAAC SADIGURSKY learned to play the accordion and clarinet as a child in Moldova. He played in the military band in Odessa and then began playing in folk orchestras as well as the State Symphony Orchestra. In 1974, he immigrated to Los Angeles. Since then, Isaac has played with many different orchestras and bands, while also working as a Registered Piano Technician. Since 1997, Isaac has been playing with the Golden State Klezmer Band and the Miamon Miller Klezmer Band, and has recorded a few tracks for Jewish themed movies. He was also a member of the band in the movie "Keeping Up with Steins".

MIAMON MILLER (violin) has played world music including klezmer since 1970. Through performance and composition he's traveled the globe from Muscat, Oman to Biaystok, Poland and toured to practically every state of the union. Locally he has recorded with luminaries including Neil Sedaka, Neil Diamond and Isaac Sadigursky.

After graduating with honors in Performance and Composition from the Kiev State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Clarinetist ZINOVY GORO worked for 10 years in the Honored Radio & Television Symphony Orchestra in Kiev. In 1979 Zinovy immigrated to the US. In August 2009, he became the first Klezmer musician to ever perform solo with Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.
